Begonia Maculata ‘wightii’ in glazed ceramic pot, 20x18cm. This plant has many nicknames including ‘Angel Wings’ as the leaves form in pairs. This is a different, rarer variation to the begonia maculata that I have listed in terracotta pots. This is firmly in my top 3 all time favourite houseplants. I love them. Easy and fast growing with the occasional crop of pink flowers.
Light – good light but avoiding midday sun. Keep above 15C.
Water – when the top of the soil is dry soak well. Don’t allow to sit in water.
Food – feed fortnightly in the growing season (between Easter and October)
In midsummer you can pinch out the growing tip which will cause the plant to bush out and prevent it becoming tall and gangly.
